Like my favorite English taeehcr used to say: the grammar’s fine if the point gets across. It is sort of interesting, because I seem to recall us disagreeing on a similar point on a different subject. I think the difference comes from your emphasis on relative power, while I see it as being power plus intent. I don’t mean intent in the sense of some jackhole saying something obviously cruel, and then hiding behind saying it was a joke, I didn’t mean any harm. I also don’t mean the casual bigotry of people who have no ill intent because they simply don’t care about the people who they might hurt. I might be wrong, but I don’t think Sarah Silverman is trying to hurt people with her jokes. I don’t think Louis C.K. is punching down with his jokes either. Satire bites, and sometimes it stings more than other times, but there’s a world of difference between someone using language that nips at your heels, and people who are trying to tear off a pound of flesh.

When he went home with wet hair, his mother qnoetisued him about it, reported what happened to Penn State police, and later confronted Sandusky with a university police officer listening in the next room. Sandusky confessed to the disturbing and suspicious behavior, but there was no arrest. I wonder why there was no arrest? Maybe Sandusky lied and convinced them that although it looked suspicious, there was no harm meant. If that was the case, then he was left free to continue his activities. It should however have raised the radar enough that someone should have been monitoring him. I mean, even Michael Jackson was tried for his questionable activity with children.

I just want to say two things after wcnhaitg this video. Sometimes I think we Malaysians can’t accept criticism especially good ones. If it is true that people in Pasir Salak don’t like you, you can either ignore them all because you can’t make them all happy or work extra harder to win their hearts and mind with your dedication and work but not acting like a whiny kid, to put it in a polite way. Secondly, Malaysian politicians need to learn how to properly address other people especially when they have different opinion from you. You can’t just utter all the big, fancy schmancy words just to make a point. It just leads to dissatisfaction and resentment. Eventually, it will be pure waste of time and energy especially when you want to get things done in your way…helooo

stay away from a facial! becsaue if its done correctly it can leave you a little blotchy for a few hours afterwards. maybe a few detoxing mud wraps for your face and body. a little aromatherapy to relax you and id probably go for a massage! becsaue your wedding day will be stressful as it is! might as well be as relaxed as possible to start with! hope you have a fantastic day!

John, good question. If you are debating in college this year, you should read something related to energy and the environment. There are lots of good books explaining “Deep Ecology” or “Anthropocentrism.” I would suggest a textbook on environmental philosophy. If you are interested in general critical theory, there are a lot of good places to start. Foucault’s collection of essays called _Power/Knowledge_ or Foucault’s _Discipline and Punish_ are great primary sources. Let us know how it goes and keep the list posted.
